Achievements for the year 2005-06
Jashn-E-Rizvi, an intercollegiate competition organized by Rizvi College of Arts, Commerce & Science & Won 3rd and 2nd Prize in Group Dance.
Our college students have also meritoriously secured 1st positions in the group dance competition organized by Council of Tourism on world tourism day in co-ordination with ministry of tourism & MTDC.
The students won 1st prize in case study at the Christ College, Bangalore.
Also won a trophy for participation in flower arrangement & for case study, at the Oriental School, Kalicut.
(GICC) Great Indian Culinary Challenge held at World Trade Center (WTC) was a competition not only for the institutes but also for the Hospitality Industry were in chef's from big hotels had participated and our students bagged one silver medal in wedding cake decoration & two bronze medals in margarine & vegetables carving. The prizes were won by Naina Joshi, Devendra & Joel Lopez.
Our college also participated in Agarwal Overseas Quiz Competition & Secured the third position.
International Competitions i.e. co-curricular & departmental competitions.
1) The housekeeping departments held a Flower arrangement competition & the theme was – Diwali. Mr. Karan from ferns & petals, Ms. Kashmira Vanigar & Mrs. Riya Chaterjee were the Judges for the competition.
The winner for the Flower arrangement competition were :-
1st prize – Merwin / Mayuri from TYCT
2nd prize – Meer / Isha from TYBHM.
A consolation prize was also given to Linda & Daniella – FYCO C/D.
2) A Rangoli competition was held in the month of September and the theme of the competition was Ganesha. Our students depicted various impressions of Ganesha in the Rangoli. The Judges had a time to tough judge all the participants as all were very good.

2nd Prize – Nitin Newankar – TYCO A/B
3) Next in the line is the preparation of Traditional & innovative sweet served in a desert glass – a competition conducted by the bakery department was held in the month of October. The evaluation was done on two separate levels for the third years & the beginners. The judge from the industry was Mr. Sachin Poojari from Taj Wasabr our principal Ms. Kashmira Vanigar & Chef Vijay Mehta.
The winner of this competition were for the beginners.
1st Prize – Nikhil Mahadeshkar
2nd Prize – Danielle Alves
From the third year 1st Prize was won by Steven Lobo & the Second Prize was won by Milind Kilpadi.
4) Next is the sports category football match held between various classes & the winner were TYCO A/B.
