Rizvi College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology was established in 1992 with a view to cater to the technical and professional requirements of the industry. The interim years have seen a plethora of positive changes and their resultant influence on the shaping of the college. In addition to the A.IC.T.E. and B.T.E. recognized three year Diploma course, the institute tied up with the Educatinal Institute (E.I.) of American Hotel and Lodging Association (A.H.L.A.) in 1996. The institute has also started a 3 year degree in B.H.C.O. recognized by Y.C.M.O.U. Nasik. It began with a handful of students and today the strength of the institute is 1080.
In addition to excellence in academics, the institute also encourages participation in sports and extra curricular activities. Students have participated in events held in the college as well as those hosted by other colleges and have many awards.
Once more, this year we have set out to create history with ‘ HOSPITALITY 2008 ' by providing a platform for young aspirants who will become tomorrow's hotel industry professionals, to come together to showcase their various skills.
Ten years ago with “ HOSPITALITY'98 ” our dream of a combined forum, where students of various Hospitality Management Institutes from all parts of the country, could meet and share ideas became a reality. One of our many objectives in having this forum is to present the upcoming talent in this field to the industry.
The resounding success of this experimental venture in 1998 has inspired us to host HOSPITALITY every successive year, on an ever-growing scale. Twelve to fifteen teams from Hospitality Management Colleges from all over India have participated each year. Indeed it is a war of skills where each team tries to excel and surpass the others.
The event has not only been appreciated by the industry, but the corporate world too gave us much valued support in the form of sponsorships and advertisements in the souvenir. This year too, we hope you and your organization will extend support in order to make the event a grand success as well as ensure that the students get the right exposure.
HOSPITALITY 2008' to be held from 29th January to 2 February, 2008 will endeavor to provide a platform for exchanging of ideas and try to showcase the best talents emerging from the Hospitality Institutes from various parts of the country.
